Introduction
My name is Whitney Beem and I am in the Master's Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Fall 2010 and will graduate Summer 2012. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a BacheIor's degree in middle grades education with a mathematics and science concentration. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching middle school in Fulton County.
I currently teach physical science to 8th grade students at Hopewell Middle School. KSU's reputation in education led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach. I plan to continue with my education by pursuing my doctoral degree in the near future.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
